Registration begins for Race for the Cure
Registration is underway for the 24th annual Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure, which will be held May 8 in Schenley Park in Oakland.
Komen Pittsburgh Race events include a 5K timed run, a 5K untimed walk/run, Kids Dash, One-Mile Fun Walk, Sleep In for the Cure and Babies for the Cure. Individuals and teams can register online at www.komenpittsburgh.org through May 4 at 5 p.m. Paper registrations must be postmarked by April 15.
Registration fees through May 4 are as follows:
• $10 – age 3 and younger, Babies for the Cure;
• $15 – breast cancer survivor, any event, and youth 14 and younger, untimed event;
• $20 – youth 14 and younger, 5K chip-timed event;
• $25 – adults 15 and older, untimed event;
• $30 – adults 15 and older, 5K chip-timed run;
• $35 – Sleep In for the Cure.
On race weekend, onsite registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 7 and 6:30 a.m. May 8 at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park.
Onsite registration fees are the same, except as follows:
• $30 – youth 14 and younger, 5K chip timed run;
• $35 – adults 15 and older, untimed event;
• $40 – adults 15 and older, chip-timed run.
