Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will present a free star party Saturday at the Mingo Creek County Park observatory, near Shelter 10. The program will begin at dusk. Viewing will take place as long as there is a partly clear sky. If it is raining or cloudy, the program will be cancelled. Reservations are not required. For more information, visit www.3ap.org.
United Methodist Women of Trinity United Methodist Church, 530 Center Church Road, McMurray, will host an adults only viewing of the Netflix documentary “Audrie & Daisy” at 2 p.m. Sunday. The movie is about two teenagers who are sexually assaulted by boys they considered friends, humiliated online and harassed by their communities. National Pike Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Woodlands Clubhouse. Chapter members Jean Anthony, Janice Briggs, Linda Bergman, Sharon Halpin and Linda Horner wil speak about ancestors who fought in the American Revolution. Refreshments will be served. Southwestern Pennsylvania Chiefs and Assistants Chiefs Association Inc. will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, Belle Vernon. There will be no meeting in December.
Cecil Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Cecil Township Municipal Building.
Claysville United Presbyterian Church, 134 Wayne St., will hold a lasagna dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. A love offering will be accepted, and takeout will be available.
Smith Cemetery Co. will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at 230 Kennel Road, Waynesburg. Members are urged to attend.
Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a needle and yarn craft workshop at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the park office of Mingo Creek County Park. The craft will be a fall candle holder and a treat for feathered friends. A holiday cookie exchange will also be held. Participants should bring their favorite holiday cookie and the recipe.
