Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, 605 Hewitt Ave., Washington, will hold a craft/vendor show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the church hall. More than 35 vendors will be present, including jewelry, skin care, knitting and crocheting, jams and jellies, baked goods and candy. A Chinese auction will be held for a chance to win something from each table. Food will be available including the church’s homemade pierogis, cabbage and noodles and cabbage rolls. Fairhill Manor Christian Church, 351 Montgomery Ave., Washington, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29. Dinner includes homemade meatballs and sauce, dessert and a beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and younger. Takeout orders will be available.

White Oak American Legion 701, 2813 Capital St., White Oak, will sponsor an oldies dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 29. A 50/50 drawing will be offered. Admission is $5 per person. Burgettstown Senior Center, 200 Senior Way, will hold a dinner dance Oct. 29. Doors open at 3 p.m. and dinner will be served at 4, followed by music by John Bigler. Food will be catered by Cross Creek Presbyterian Church and include a family style meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, homemade rolls and a dessert. St. John the Baptist Church, 201 E. Main St., Uniontown, will hold its 35th annual Carpatho-Rusyn celebration from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 30. Admission is free. Divine liturgy for the day will begin at 9 a.m. Ethnic food available at the event include holubki, pirohi, halushki, kolbasi and sauerkraut, soup, potato pancakes, pagach and baked goods. Folk dancing by Slavjane Folk Ensemble will begin at 3 p.m. and a Rusyn folk music group will perform at 1 and 4 p.m. The Carpatho-Rusyn Society will have artifacts, authentic costumes, photographs and documents and will assist in genealogical questions. There will be pysanky, iconography, wood burning, bobbin lace making and folk art demonstrations, church tours, children’s activities, crafts, raffles and videos. Older Adults of Central Assembly of God will host a bus trip Dec. 3 to St. Emma’s Monastery and Retreat House in Greensburg. The nuns will lead a tour of over 150 Nativity displays and end by hosting a buffet lunch. The day will conclude with a trip to the Overly Country Christmas display. The Mon Valley NAACP election of officers, originally scheduled for Nov. 1, has been rescheduled. The election will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at 422 Sixth St., Monessen. To vote, you must have identification and be a current member in good standing 30 days prior to the election. Meetings of the general membership will be held at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month instead of Tuesdays. The next meeting begins at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at the branch office.
