‘Being Mortal’ at Presbyterian SeniorCare

Presbyterian SeniorCare is partnering with Family Hospice to host “Being Mortal” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at Hillsview Chapel at Presyterian SeniorCare, 835 S. Main. St., Washington.

The video “Being Mortal” by Dr. Atul Gawande will be shown, followed by a panel discussion featuring the following:

• Dr. Robert Allison II, Presbyterian SeniorCare;

• Stefany Renner, a registered nurse at Presbyterian SeniorCare;

• Karen Thorhauer, a social worker at Presbyterian SeniorCare;

• Dr. Myles Zuckerman, Family Hospice and Palliative Care.

The video includes stories of personal journeys Gawande’s patients went through and the choices they made regarding their care.
