Filer-Sadlek honors Jeff-Morgan students

Filer-Sadlek Post 954, the American Legion, Jefferson, recently honored and recognized students in the Jefferson-Morgan School District who have participated in various American Legion programs. They are:

• Robert E. Titus Educational Award – Emma Frank and Connor Alcorn;

• American Legion Essay winner for Post 954 and the 25th District and second in the Inter-District – Erin Confortini.

• Fifth-grade essay, “Should the National Anthem of the United States Be Changed?” – Evan Stingle, first place; Adysan Kern, second; and Lauren Uveges, third.

• Sixth- seventh- and eighth-grade essay, “What Does the American Flag Represent?” – Lauren Pahler, first place, sixth grade; Selah Taggart, second; Mia Baker, third; Jasmine Demaske, first place, seventh grade; Ashley Kime, second; Anna Uveges, third; Katie Ruscitti, first place, eighth grade; Molly Mylan, second; Maddie Call, third.

• Color-It-Proud contest – Zayne Shaffer, prekindergarten; Tessa Harrington, kindergarten; Jacob Bair, first grade; Hunter Kesner, second grade; Ben Debolt, third grade; and Kierstyn Webster, fourth grade.
