Jefferson Hospital to host Women’s Health Conference
Jefferson Hospital’s first Women’s Health Conference for the Community will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 6 at Jefferson’s James Bibro Building, 565 Coal Valley Road, Jefferson Hills. During this free event, women can select from a variety of classes on topics.
The event schedule:
• 8:30-9:30 a.m. – registration and welcome from Joy M. Peters, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Jefferson Hospital; and Allan Klapper, MD, system chairman, Allegheny Health Network Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• 9:30-10:30 a.m. – choose from the following: Stress Management, with Joe Cvitkovic, PhD, psychologist; Menopause, with Marcia E. Klein-Patel, MD; or Women’s Cancers, with Stephanie A. Munns, MD, gynecologic oncologist.
• 10:30-11:30 a.m. – choose from the following: Perinatal (pregnancy-related) Anxiety Disorders, with Sarah Homitsky, MD, psychiatrist; Pelvic Floor/Bladder Control, with Lindsay Turner, MD, urogynecologist, and Nicole Reilley Dosey, DPT, CLT; or One Key Question: “What are your plans for becoming pregnant?” featuring Lauren Narbey, certified nurse midwife
• 11:30-noon – lunch
• Noon-1 p.m., choose from the following: Addiction, featuring Katrina Siders, CRNP; Osteoporosis, featuring David A. Logan, MD, FACOG and Lynette Judy, RN, ONC; or Food/Environmental Health, featuring Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis, Women for a Healthy Environment.
