Washington County Council of Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the public meeting room at Courthouse Square. The public is encouraged to attend.

Giant Oaks Garden Club will hold a luncheon meeting at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 907 E. McMurray Road, Peters Township. Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg will hold a rummage sale and luncheon Thursday and May 5. The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Homemade soups, sandwiches, pies and cakes will be available. For takeout, call 724-627-3240.

Pottery Paint ‘n Sip will begin at 6:30 p.m. May 5 at James Photographic, 86 W. Main St., Brownsville. Fee is $38 in advance or $40 at the door. Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, 107 Curry Road, Waynesburg, will hold its annual “Rock-a-Thon” May 5 to benefit Greene County Relay for Life. The day will kick off with a survivors walk at 9:30 a.m., followed by DJ J.K. with karaoke. There also will be a bake sale and Chinese auction. West Washington United Methodist Church will hold its annual spring sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5 and 6 in fellowship hall, 625 Fayette St. There also will be a bake sale, and lunch will be available.

Greene County Veterans Affairs flag distribution day for organizations will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon May 5 at the Ben Franklin building/alley. Cemeteries must pick up flags from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 8-12 at the Greene County VA office.
