Grants focus of Greene workshop
A grant-writing workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 6 at the Community Foundation of Greene County, 106 E. High St., Waynesburg.
Grantseeking Essentials is a seminar for staff and board members of nonprofit organizations and other interested individuals who want to learn how to prepare good proposals for funding their nonprofit projects.
The workshop will be taught by Laurie Anderson, who has more than 25 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. She was the founding manager of the Nonprofit Resource Center at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, as well as the executive director of two small nonprofit organizations and the grants manager for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. She has worked as the grants and special projects coordinator for the Allegheny County Library Association since 2014.
Most recently she started a grant consulting business, L. Anderson Consulting LLC. Anderson is a member of the Grant Professionals Association and received her Grants Professional Certification last August.
Registration fee is $35 per person, and space is limited to 24 participants.
