Chocolate Angel Food Cake
• Ingredients
For cake
12 egg whites
3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
For icing
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup cocoa
1/2 cup powdered sugar
To make the cake: Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Blend in sugar, flour, cocoa, vanilla and salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
To make the icing: Beat all ingredients until icing consistency is achieved. Spread on cake.
