Cecil Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the municipal building, 3599 Millers Run Road, Cecil.
Margaret Bill Miller School orientation for sixth-graders and new students will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Students will be able to tour the building.
Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the White Church, Fire Road, Eldersville. Clay Kilgore will discuss the Underground Railroad. All ages are welcome, and refreshments will be served.
The Old Stone Church, 303 Stone Church Road, Union Township, is looking for vendors to participate in a flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9. Spaces are $10; bring a blanket, table and chair. To reserve space, call Bonnie at 412-613-1593.
Marianna Volunteer Fire Company has kicked off its annual fund drive. This year’s proceeds will be used to upgrade equipment, buy firefighting gear and for firefighter training. The drive will run until the middle of September. For more information call 724-229-3977.
