Carley G. Padgett and Alvin (Alex) D. White III were united in marriage September 24, 2017, at Sunken Gardens, St. Petersburg, Fla., with the Rev. Dan Miller officiating the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Matthew and Nancy Padgett of Bradenton, Fla. Her grandparents are Helen Guiser and the late Daniel Guiser of Bradenton, and the late Melvin and Catherine Padgett.

Parents of the bridegroom are James (Jamie) and Peggy White of Hickory. His grandparents are Loretta Allison and the late Paul J. Allison of Mooresville, Ind., and the late John M. White and Catherine White of Hickory.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor for her sister was Rachel Homerski of Benson, Ariz. Bridesmaids were Andrea Stauffer of Pittsburgh; Emily Padgett, sister-in-law of the bride, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Laura Maffeo of Pittsburgh, and Kristen Clary of Salem, Mass. Flower girl was Eva Homerski, niece of the bride, of Benson, Ariz.

James D. White III of Hickory, twin brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Christopher White, brother of the groom, of Hilliard, Ohio; Matthew Padgett II, brother of the bride, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Luke Obarsky of Johnstown, and Jack Merckle III of Hickory. Ring bearer was Max Homerski, nephew of the bride, of Benson, Ariz.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Eden Christian Academy and a 2014 graduate of Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s in nursing. She is employed as an ER nurse at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton.

Mr. White is a 2012 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and a 2016 graduate of Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s in media arts. He is a campaign and marketing consultant for Zenith Education Group in Tampa, Fla.

A reception was held at Sunken Gardens.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
