Wetzel – Blumer
Ashley Marie Blumer and Brent Matthew Wetzel were united in marriage September 24, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Father William Finney and deacon Barry Krofcheck officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Edward J. Blumer of Canonsburg and Janice Rossi Blumer of Washington. Her grandparents are the late Nicklous and Patricia Blumer and the late Pio and Helen Rossi.
Mother of the bridegroom is Penny Glasscock Wetzel of Wheeling, W.Va. His grandparents are the late Donald and Margaret Wetzel, Beverly Glasscock of Wheeling and the late William Glasscock.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Mary Joelle Epstein Minnich of Bowie, Md. Bridesmaids were Morgan Blumer of Woodbridge, Va., cousin of the bride; Christina Rossi of Clifton, Va., cousin of the bride; and Camille MacKinney Goodrum of Washington.
Best man was Brad Wetzel, brother of the groom. Ushers were Jarrod Blumer of Norman, Okla., brother of the bride; Anthony Baker of Wheeling; Patrick Porter of Wheeling; and Zackary Porter of Durant, Okla.
Reader was Joseph Blumer of Washington, cousin of the bride.
Vocalist was Anthony Rossi of Lorton, Va., cousin of the bride.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School and a 2015 graduate of Community College of Allegheny County. She is a registered nurse at Washington Health System.
The groom is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He is a representative for AT&T in Triadelphia, W.Va.
A reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe, and the couple took a wedding trip to the eastern Caribbean.
They make their home in Washington.
