Bowlby Library hosts ‘Keep Me Safe’ series

The family literacy and children’s departments at Bowlby Public Library in Waynesburg will hold its eighth annual “Keep Me Safe” series this month.
The three-part series is designed for families with children of all ages. The series begins with two local fire departments presenting at the library from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Center Township Volunteer Fire Company will have a fire safety demonstration and “Sparky” the fire dog will entertain. Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company will give a tour of a fire engine and children will be able to visit the fire training smoke house.
“Keep Me Safe from Drugs” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon June 10. The session will feature a K-9 officer and a D.A.R.E. presentation by Deputy Sheriff Amanda Stouffer. “Keep Me Healthy” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon June 17.
The library will have many activities for children, including free American Red Cross CPR/AED certification for ages 10 and older. To register, call 724-627-9776.
