Lillian D. Behm, daughter of Jennifer and Clay Behm of Waynesburg, was named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College. She is a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.

Joseph Blumer was named to the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University, where he is majoring in exercise science. He is coordinator of the Pre-Med Club and participants in medical research and development. Blumer is a 2014 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by The Meadows Casino. His parents are Nicklous and Mary Rossi Blumer of Washington.

Michael Z. Burchesky, son of Bonita and Stephen Burchesky of Canonsburg, was named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College. A May graduate, Burchesky majored in interdisciplinary studies.

Kevin Crawford, a student in the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, has been designated as an honor student for the spring term. He is the son of Ray and Sue Crawford of Venetia.

Austin McDaniel, son of Kurt and Denise McDaniel of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University. The business management major is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.

Evan McDaniel, son of Kurt and Denise McDaniel of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University. He is a criminal justice major and member of the Criminal Justice Club. Ryan is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.

Ryan McDaniel, son of Kurt and Denise McDaniel of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University for six consecutive semesters. An accounting major with a minor in economics, he is a 2014 graduate of Trinity High School. Ryan is a staff accountant at Account Master and U.S. Corrugated Accounting Department.

Lauren McGavitt, daughter of Kristen McGavitt of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University. A nursing major with a 3.91 GPA, she is a member of the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania. Lauren is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.

Michael Nuzzo was named to the dean’s list at Cedarville University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering. He is a 2014 homeschooled graduate. His parents are Tony and Marianne Nuzzo of McDonald.

Elisabeth Throckmorton, daughter of Jill and Rob Throckmorton of McMurray, was named to the dean’s list with a 3.86 GPA at Kent State University for the second semester of her freshman year. A nursing major, she is a 2016 graduate of Peters Township High School.

Abigail Katherine Toothman was awarded the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Toothman is the daughter of Glenn and Dianne Toothman of Waynesburg. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the College of Wooster in 2013. She is continuing her medical training in obstetrics and gynecology at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C.

Kristin Wilson, who recently earned a degree in chemistry with secondary education at Waynesburg University, has received the College Chemistry Award from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh. The award includes a monetary prize and a framed certificate of accomplishment. In addition, Wilson will be recognized through a monetary award presented to Waynesburg University in her honor, along with an engraved nameplate, which will be added to the plaque in the Chemistry Department listing previous SACP winners. Wilson was named to the dean’s list every semester and received the Inorganic, Analytical and Organic Award. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi international education honorary and Gamma Sigma Epsilon international honorary, serving as president in 2016-17. She also was involved with the university’s American Chemical Society, serving as secretary and president; served as SACP student affiliates secretary; and was a member of the university’s Relay for Life/College Against Cancer. She is a 2013 graduate of Washington High School, and her parents are Keith and Michele Wilson of Washington.
