Oyuki Sulu Aguayo and Jared Thomas were united in marriage on April 29, 2017, at Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Xcaret, Playa de Carmen, Mexico.

The bride’s parents are Edilberto Sulu Aguilar and Irma Yolanda Aguayo Loeza de Sulu, both of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

Parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Marlene Thomas of Hickory. His grandparents are Dorothy Alrutz of McDonald, the late Donald Alrutz, Genevieve Thomas of McDonald and the late Edward Thomas.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Maria Eugenia Tamayo Perez of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Thomas of Midway, sister of the groom, and Karen Irais Sulu Aguayo and Fatima Lucia Sulu Aguayo, both of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, sisters of the bride.

Flower girl was Emily Espinosa Amaya, cousin of the bride.

Jerry Thomas, father of the groom, served as best man. Serving as page was Carlos Matias Sulu Martinez, nephew of the bride.

Ringer bearer was Emiliano Espinosa Amaya, cousin of the bride.

Readers were Caitlin Thomas and Karen Irais Sulu Aguayo.

The bride is a graduate of Autonomous University of Yucatan and Autonomous University of Yucatan, Faculty of Architecture.

The groom is a graduate of Fort Cherry High School and Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

A reception was held on the beach at Ocean Riviera Paradise, Playa del Carmen.
