Megan’s Law topic of program at Peters library

Peters Township Public Library will host “What You Should Know About Megan’s Law” at 7 p.m. June 27.
Guest speaker will be Doug Grimes, chief of police of the Peters Township Police Department.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police Megan’s Law website, there are more than 240 registered sex offenders in Washington County. Grimes will discuss the history of Megan’s Law, the Adam Walsh Act and the Pennsylvania State Police website. He will explain how to receive email notifications about offenders living or working in the area.
