Katelyn Sarver, daughter of Lisa and David Sarver of Canonsburg, was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University, where she achieved a 4.0 grade-point average two consecutive semesters. Sarver is majoring in biology. She is a 2016 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Brooke Scarfo was selected for membership into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in accounting. Students are selected for Phi Eta Sigma at the end of their freshman year if they achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. IUP’s Phi Eta Sigma chapter members participate in a number of projects annually, ranging from blood drives for the American Red Cross to volunteer service with the IUP Allegheny Arboretum project. Scarfo is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Rob and Shannon Scarfo of Washington.
Caitlin Dawn Thomas graduated from Waynesburg University, where she earned a Master in Business Administration, with a concentration in energy management. In 2009, she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing from Robert Morris University. Thomas is a 2005 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and is employed by EQT Production. Her parents are Jerry and Marlene Thomas of Hickory.
