The Little Miss Firecracker Pageant will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Greene County Fairgrounds during the Waynesburg Lions Club’s annual Fourth of July Celebration, sponsored by Waynesburg Lions Club and Waynesburg Sewing Center.

The pageant will take place on the main stage in front of the grandstand. It is a noncompetitive pageant for girls 5 through 8. Participants will appear in patriotic attire and each will be interviewed on stage. Little Miss Firecracker is determined by each contestant drawing a wrapped flower from a basket, with the off-colored flower determining the new queen for 2017.

The winner will receive a crown, sash, trophy and bouquet. Each contestant receives a participation medal. The 2016 Little Miss Firecracker, Alaina Moore, daughter of John Moore and Shannon Fuller, will crown the new queen.

The contestants are Gloria Ann Evans, daughter of Sally Lemley and John Evans of Waynesburg; Bridgette Nicole Garber, daughter of Shelby King and Jason Garber of Carmichaels; Annabell Grace Geracia, daughter of Timothy and Darla Geracia of New Freeport; Alaya King, daughter of Lauren Keys of Carmichaels; Haili Faith Knisely, daughter of Brian Knisely of Washington; Joscelyn Renae Policz, daughter of Shawn and Savannah Policz of Waynesburg; and Lila Nicole Wise, daughter of Courtney and Cody Wise of Waynesburg.
