Memorial Day services

• 10 a.m. – Memorial service outside at the Presbyterian Church. A small parade will start the service, and there will be a brief ceremony with a speaker and music. Refreshments will follow.
Amwell Township
• 10 a.m. – Lower Ten Mile Presbyterian Church in Amity. A parade will precede the program, which includes recognition of veterans. Refreshments will follow. For more information, call 724-228-1031.
• 2 p.m. – The parade will proceed to the honor roll between Hewitt Cemetery and Hewitt Presbyterian Church. Speaker will be Andrew Locke, assistant district attorney for Greene County and former U.S. Army captain.
Honor guard, consisting of Carmichaels Post 400, Carmichaels VFW Post 3491 and Greensboro VFW Post 6303, will participate at:
• Noon – Garard Fort Cemetery, with John “Buzz” Walters, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and commander of James R. Maxon Post 992, as speaker.

A program will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, with retired U.S. Army Capt. Kevin Kavanaugh as speaker. If it rains, the program will be moved to Fayette City Alliance Church in Brownstown.
• 11 a.m. – Mather Honor Roll/post office with Pastor Keith L. Jones of Mather Christian Church as speaker, followed by a salute to the deceased and placement of wreath at the honor roll.
• 11:30 a.m. – Jefferson Cemetery, with a salute to the deceased and wreath placement at the honor roll.
• Noon – Service at the veterans’ section of Greene County Memorial Park, with a salute to the deceased and wreath placement.
• 8:40 a.m. – Buckingham Cemetery in Deemston
• 8:45 a.m. – Fredericktown Hill Cemetery

• 10 a.m. – Purviance Cemetery, followed by lunch at the Legion
• 10 a.m. – Mt. Morris United Methodist Church
• 11 a.m. – Parade from the church to the creek, with a salute to the deceased and the placement of a flower into the creek in memory of the U.S. Navy.
• Noon – Cedar Grove Cemetery, with speaker Scot Lippencott, commander of the 25th District, followed by placement of the wreath.
• 8:30 a.m. – Ceremony at Eldersville memorial site. Jamie Smith, historian for Jefferson Township Historical Society, will be the speaker. Refreshments will be served at the White Church following the ceremony.
• 10:15 a.m. – Robinson Township Honor Roll
• 11 a.m. – Parade
• Noon – Robinson Cemetery
• 9:30 a.m. – Primrose Honor Roll
• 9:45 a.m. – Midway Honor Roll
• 10 a.m. – Center Cemetery
If it rains, the service will be held at Midway Fire Department.
10 a.m. – Bud Allison Memorial Auditorium in the Mt. Pleasant Township Community Center, Hickory. Guest speaker will be Susan Meighen of Washington County Veterans Affairs.
