Students at several local schools were recently introduced to The Challenge Program Inc., which connects business and education to develop a skilled and motivated future workforce.

The theme, “Classroom Feud: Workplace Edition,” was a game show spin-off that revealed the answers to important questions for career-readiness and success in and beyond the classroom. Students in the sophomore, junior and senior classes were introduced to local career opportunities. Throughout the year, they will be eligible to compete for financial awards in five areas linked with academic and workplace success: attendance, academic improvement, academic excellence, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and community service.

Students from Western Area Career and Technology Center and California, Ringgold and Canon-McMillan high schools participated.
