Rotary roasts DiSalle

On Nov. 2, the Canonsburg Houston Southpointe Rotary held a banquet at Southpointe Golf Club to honor retired Judge Richard DiSalle.

The event was co-sponsored by the Southpointe Chamber with Don Hodor as master of ceremony. Speakers roasting the judge were Steven Richman, a retired local attorney; Judge John DiSalle, son of Richard Disalle; Jim McDonald, Southpointe Chamber board member and president of Monaloh Basin Engineering; Commissioner Diana Irey Vaughan and Rotarian Charles Keller.

A special Rotary Paul Harris award was presented by District Rotary Governor Steve Arnowitz followed by a proclamation from the State of Pennsylvania presented by state Sen. Camera Bartolotta.

Sponsors included Washington Financial, Southpointe Telecom AT&T and Urchick Business Consultants.

Jazz entertainment was sponsored by the Washington Jazz Society with Judge John DiSalle on saxiphone, Dan Baker on guitar and Greg Therman on bass.
