Air Force Airman Kayla R. Hinkle, daughter of Suzanne M. Hinkle of Canonsburg, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Hinkle is a 2017 graduate of Canon-McMillian High School.

Army Infantryman Hunter Sims, son of Brian and Michele Beyerbach, graduated from basic military training at Fort Benning, Ga., Oct. 6. He is stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y., 10th Mountain division. Sims is a 2017 graduate of Burgettstown High School.
