Members of the Nottingham Township recreation board presented a $427 check on Oct. 20 to Tony Accamando for the benefit of Guardian Angel Medical Service Dogs. The donation is proceeds from the 50/50 raffle held at the annual township bonfire. Guardian Angel raises and trains service dogs for veterans suffering from the effects of traumatic brain injury and/or PTSD. So far, 16 vets in Southwestern Pennsylvania have been paired with companion dogs and six more will be paired within the next month. Information is available by calling 412-932-8387.
