American FFA degrees awarded

On Oct. 28, three FFA members received the American FFA Degree at the 90th National FFA Convention and Expo at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind. It is one of the highest honors an FFA member can receive. In addition to the degree certificate, each recipient received a gold American FFA Degree key charm and a display frame to display the certification and key. Recipients, from left are, Jacob Durila, Caitlyn McConn and Vinny Curtis. Durila is the son of Paul and Robin Durila of Claysville. He attends Robert Morris University, majoring in business management and business marketing. He is a 2015 graduate of McGuffey High School and a member of the McGuffey FFA. McConn is the daughter of Jeff and Peggy McConn of West Alexander. She attends West Virginia State University, majoring in animal and nutritional science and minoring in horticulture. She is a 2015 graduate of McGuffey High School and a member of the McGuffey FFA. Curtis is the son of Vince and Penny Curtis of Midway. He attends the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, majoring in environmental studies. He is a 2014 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and a member of the HG Parkinson FFA.
