Holiday Treasures will hold it’s 35th annual show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 and noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 in the home of Scott and Barbara on Grindstone Road. It will feature basket makers, weavers, potters and a variety of other media. For information, call 724-880-3175.

Rices Landing Borough, Rices Landing Methodist Church, Rices Landing VFD and the Mon River Program will host Community Light-Up Night at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 in the downtown gazebo. Activities will include a visit from Santa, holiday music, tree lighting and trimming, home light up contest, hot chocolate, snacks, treats and more.

Trolleys and Toy Trains will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15 at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, 1 Museum Road, Washington. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for children ages 3-15 and free for children under 3. Admission includes trolley rides and exhibits. Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Annual General Membership Meeting and Holiday Luncheon will be held Dec. 16 (downstairs) at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. Park Burroughs, Observer-Reporter chief editor from 1988 to 2012, will speak on the series he has written for the newspaper. Lunch will be served at noon followed by the meeting at 2 p.m. Cost is $15 per person. RSVP to C. Campbell, at the library’s address, by Dec. 5.
