Beginning Monday, Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department, 700 Meredith Dr., Venetia, will take registration for classes online and at the recreation center. Peters Township Parks and Recreation is conducting a bus trip to Sugarcreek, Ohio, Dec. 7. Have a family-style lunch at Dutch Valley and see “Our Christmas Dinner” musical at the Ohio Star Theater. A visit to a bakery, market and gift shop will follow the show. The bus will depart at 7:45 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m. Fee of $120 per person includes transportation, show, meal, taxes and driver gratuity. Avella Public Library is selling raffle tickets for a fall door arrangement. Tickets are $1 per chance, with the winner drawn Thursday. A Martha Washington Garden Club meeting will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Labortory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington. Susan Luisi, gardener and flower show judge, will share pumpkin lore, horticulture, humor and arrangements. Bring your favorite pumpkin recipes and/or a pumpkin you have grown, painted or purchased to show. Donations will be accepted for the women’s shelter.

Greater Washington County Food Bank will host its annual “Taste of Washington” featuring foods from more than 20 local restaurants, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino’s events center in North Strabane. The evening will be filled with fun, food, drinks, music, celebrities, auctions for prizes and giveaways with all proceeds benefiting the food bank. Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation will hold a Halloween Night Walk on the Panhandle Trail Friday. The luminary-lit walk will begin at the McDonald Trail Station at 7 p.m. Children are encouraged to dress in costumes for the walk, which ends at 8.
