Lisa and Thomas Chappel Jr. of Houston announce the engagement of their daughter, Elissa, to Jeffrey Welnick, son of Charles and Catherine Rile of McDonald.

Elissa’s grandparents are the late June and Robert Freno, Pauline Chappel of Houston and the late Thomas Chappel.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and a 2009 graduate of Elizabethtown College. She is employed by Czarnowski, Pittsburgh.

The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and a 2006 graduate of Duquesne University. He is employed by PNC Bank, Pittsburgh.

The couple plan a March 23, 2018, destination wedding at Banff National Park/Tunnel Mountain in Banff, Alberta, Canada.
