April 7-13 is National Library Week and Fine Forgiveness Week. Fines will be forgiven for currently checked out materials that may be overdue. 

A free S.A.T. Prep Classes for teens will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20. Bring a bagged lunch and scientific calculator.

Teen Advisory Group for ages 13-18 will meet at 5 p.m. April 23.

Lego Brick Masters for ages 3 and older will meet at 11 a.m. April 27.

April is National Poetry Month. A Poetry Reading & Awards Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. April 29, where winners of the Annual Poetry Competition will be announced and participants will be invited to read their original work. Light refreshments will be served at this free event.

Code Squad for students age 6-12 years meets from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, through May 9. Develop cartoons using PBS KIDS ScratchJr. New members welcome.

Movie Nights @ the Library are held at 6 p.m. Wednesdays. Free popcorn and beverages.

Check out the library’s Playaway Audiobook Collection, which are powered by AAA batteries so no other device, technology or WiFi connection is needed. The universal audio jack is compatible with headphones to listen anywhere and aux cords to listen in the car.

Playaway Launchpads, pre-loaded tablets designed for a circulation environment, are available for children, teens and adults. Launchpads for children are pre-loaded with high-quality learning apps. Teen and adult Launchpads include instructional apps, brain games and trivia.

Sixty-nine Young Explorer Kits for infants, toddlers and elementary school aged (through fourth grade) children are available at the library. Stop by the Adult Circulation desk to borrow a kit.
