Barnes – 50 years
Dr. Leon and Carol Barnes celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner, where they showed off the anniversary rings they bought for each other.
Mr. and Mrs. Barnes were married August 26, 1967, in St. Valentine Church in Bethel Park.
Their children are Christy Barnes (Joe) Villella of Bethel Park and Lori (Dan) Lauffer of Eighty Four.
Their grandchildren are Lucas Joseph Villella and Ava Rose Villella.
Dr. Barnes was a head and neck pathologist at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh from 1966 until his retirement in 2010.
Mrs. Barnes was a medical secretary at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and a secretary at Central Texas College.
When the couple is not busy with their children and grandchildren, Dr. Barnes enjoys working in his yard, and Mrs. Barnes loves to cook and travel, especially to Sugarcreek, Ohio.
