Night of comedy to help fight cancer

“A Night of Comedy to Fight Cancer” will begin at 8 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Lock 4 Volunteer Fire Company in North Charleroi. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The show’s headliner is David Kaye, as seen on ABC and Comedy Central, and will feature Cleveland comic Quinn Patterson, with Lisa Dapprich from WGN-TV’s “The Outsiders” acting as host.

The event also includes a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction. Tickets are $20 and include soft drinks and water. Those who attend must be over 21 and can bring snacks and BYOB.

Laurie Chester, a two-time cancer survivor who works in the Human Resources Department at Monongahela Valley Hospital, is sponsoring the event to raise money to help cancer patients in the mid-Mon Valley.
