First Lutheran Church, 92 W. Walnut St., Washington, will host a vendor event and indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Vendors will include Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Steeped Tea, Initial Outfitters, Mary and Martha, Style Dots, LulaRoe, SeneGence, DoTerra, Scentsy, Tupperware and Paracords for a Cause. Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, 480 Route 519, Eighty Four, will host its annual Fall Ham and Turkey Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Takeout will be available. Proceeds benefit deacon ministries. Also on Saturday, the church will hold its “Pumpkin Patch for Missions.” The pumpkin patch will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted to support literacy centers in Ethiopia. Peters Creek Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the social room at Wright’s United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia. Guest speaker will be Bryan Cunning, a board member of the Washington County Historical Society. Cunning is an archeologist, a re-enactor and public speaker on topics of historical interest. He will discuss “Washington’s Trip of 1770.” Refreshments will be served.

Jefferson College Historical Society will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Frank Sarris Public Library, 36 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg. Dr. John F. Oliver, historian of the Bridgeville Area Historical Society, will be guest speaker. He will discuss “Joseph Flannery and Standard Chemical.” Refreshments will be served after the meeting.

Avella Public Library will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Avella Sportsmen’s Club. Spaces are $10. The library also is accepting donated items to sell at its fundraiser table. South Hills Coin Club will meet at 8 p.m. Oct. 10 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2999 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park. The program will be silver coins.
