Barnhart– 80 years
Carl Barnhart of Claysville celebrated his 80th birthday with a party given by his children and attended by many friends and family at the Olive Garden in Tridelphia, W.Va.
He and his wife, Mary, also celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary at his birthday party. They were married September 18, 1961.
Mr. Barnhart was born September 12, 1937, in Avella.
He has three children, Dr. Brian (Kristen) Barnhart of Manlius, N.Y., Diane, (Douglas) Bamont of Washington and Dr. Ronald Barnhart of Douglas, Ga.
His grandchildren are Gregory Bamont, Zachary Barnhart, Olivia Barnhart, Elyssa Barnhart and Julia Barnhart.
Mr. Barnhart retired from Jessop Steel after 33 years of service, and then worked for 10 years at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.
He is a member of the Avella Historical Society and loves to travel and watch the Pittsburgh Steelers.
