Washington Health System Greene Auxiliary will sponsor a Home Show fundraising event from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Guesman Room. The sale will include home items and electronics, plus designer fragrances. Cash and credit cards will be accepted, and payroll deduction will be available for Washington Health System employees. A rummage sale and luncheon will be held Wednesday and Thursday at Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. The rummage sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Takeout and local delivery will be available by calling 724-627-3240.
Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court, Brownsville, will host a Breathe Pennsylvania representative who will discuss chronic lung diseases at 11 a.m. Thursday. Gateway Health also will present a cancer awareness program at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 11 at Center in the Woods.
St. David’s Episcopal Church, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia, will hold a community-wide flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 to benefit Pauline Juliet Inc., which educates and empowers girls in Uganda. Spaces must be reserved in advance at a cost of $10 for one space and $15 for two spaces, or call the church to schedule a pickup of goods to be sold, with the profits going to the charity.
