Sacra – 93 years
June Boger Sacra of Washington celebrated her 93rd birthday with a luncheon for family and friends in the Activities Room at Strabane Trails Village.
Mrs. Sacra was born on February 5, 1925, in Clarksville (Sandy Plains). The day she was born, the doctor ran out of gas at the bottom of Black Dog Hollow Road. Her father had to pick him up and bring him to the house.
Her husband was the late Rudolph Sacra. They were married on July 21, 1963, at First Methodist Church, Charlottesville.
Mrs. Sacra graduated from Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh and was employed as a registered nurse for more than 40 years, having worked at the University of Virginia Hospital and Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.
