A Houston woman faces charges after state police said she coughed in a trooper’s face and claimed she had coronavirus.

State police charged Jessica Lee Harvey, 37, of 280 E. Pike St., with terroristic threats, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness Sunday.

According to the criminal complaint, police found Harvey in the 10 block of East Pike Street at about 5:50 p.m. Sunday after responding to a domestic call at Harvey’s residence.

Charging documents say she was intoxicated, and had multiple warrants out for her arrest.

When the state trooper was putting Harvey in the back of the police car, Harvey allegedly coughed in his face and said, “I have the coronavirus and I hope that you have it now.”

Harvey was arraigned Tuesday morning before District Judge James Saieva, Jr., who sent her to the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
