Monessen is taking necessary steps and precautions to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

City offices will remain open, but in an effort to protect employees and residents, visitors are asked to conduct municipal business via telephone, email or mail, which is recommended for garbage, tax, permit or other payments.

The Monessen Civic Center will be closed and all events there canceled until further notice. Monessen Library is closed through March 29.
