Donora resident killed in head-on collision

State police said a Donora man was killed in a Tuesday crash in Menallen Township.
State police said a Donora man died Tuesday when his vehicle was struck head-on along Route 51 in Menallen Township.
Authorities identified the man who was killed in the 9:30 p.m. crash as John Humbert, 65.
Police said Humbert, driving a Hyundai Elantra, was traveling north on Route 51 near Laurel Hill Road when a Ram Rebel driven by James E. Temple, 43, of Pittsburgh crossed the median and hit Humbert’s vehicle in the front bumper area.
Humbert died at the scene, police said.
Temple was transported to Ruby Memorial hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. According to a release issued by Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker, Temple is expected to survive.
