Firefighters were kept busy with a trio of fires in Fayette and Washington counties Saturday and Sunday.

In North Franklin Township, multiple calls came in around 4:26 p.m. Saturday of a fire in the back of a building at 240 Park Ave., Washington County 911 dispatch said.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire in the rear and the front of the structure.

Two people were treated at the scene, dispatchers said. One patient went to UPMC Washington with burns; their condition was unknown as of Sunday morning.

The state police fire marshal was notified for investigation.

Departments remained on scene until around 7:30 p.m., dispatch said.

There were no injuries reported in two fires in Fayette County.

Sunday morning, crews were called at 4 a.m. to 20 Back St. in German Township for a house fire, Fayette County 911 dispatch said.

There was no indication of the cause of the fire, dispatchers said. The state police fire marshal was called to investigate.

Crews cleared the scene around 7:10 a.m.

Firefighters were also called out to a home in Uniontown for a fire Saturday afternoon.

The call for the fire at 61 Wilbur Ave. came in at 1:52 p.m., according to Fayette County 911 dispatch.

The rear of the home showed visible damage after the fire.

A man nearby the house identifying himself as a resident said the fire had been accidentally sparked by a burning outside the home.

Only one department was still on scene by 4:30 p.m., dispatchers said. An hour later, all had cleared.
