Driver killed in Hanover crash identified
A Washington County driver traveling west on Steubenville Pike in Hanover Township died in a crash Tuesday.
According to the Washington County coroner’s office, Corey Wood, 21, of Houston, lost control and crashed into a wooded area west of the intersection of Steubenville Pike at Beverly Avenue. The incident was reported to Washington County 911 at 10:23 p.m.
Wood, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. Speed is considered to have been a factor in the crash, the coroner’s report said.
The cause and manner of death are pending investigation, according to the coroner’s report.
Hanover Township police and the coroner’s office are investigating.
