Man dies in wrong-way crash in Bullskin Township

A wrong-way crash on Route 982 in Bullskin Township, Fayette County, on Friday left one man dead, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The driver, David Lancaster, 50, of Mount Pleasant, died at the scene, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.

Police said the 4 p.m. accident happened as Lancaster was rounding a curve at around 4 p.m. and his vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Police are still investigating the accident.

According to troopers, the crash happened around 4 p.m. along Route 982 in Bullskin Township.
