Pittsburgh CLO to stage world premiere musical in May
The Pittsburgh CLO will be presenting the world premiere of a new musical in May.
“Madame Clicquot: A Revolutionary Musical,” will be unveiled at the Byham Theater on Thursday, May 29. It will be at the theater through Sunday, June 8.
Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, “Madame Clicquot: A Revolutionary Musical” tells the story of Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin Clcquot, the woman who revolutionized the Champagne industry.
“This production represents Pittsburgh CLO’s dedication to developing new works and ensures Pittsburgh remains a key player in shaping the future of musical theater,” said Mark Fleischer, the Pittsburgh CLO’s executive producer.
