Little Lake expands its leadership team

1 min read

Little Lake Theatre Company has announced an expansion of its leadership structure.

Katie Flanigan has been named director of production, and Nathan Walter will transition from his part-time role as director of production into a new position as associate artistic director. The 78-year-old organization will now operate with three full-time leadership positions-Artistic Director Patrick Cannon, Managing Director Patti Knapp, and Director of Production Katie Flanigan-for the first time in its history.

Walter has played a key role in strengthening Little Lake’s production operations in recent seasons. In his new role as

associate artistic director, Walter will focus more directly on artistic planning, development, and long-term creative strategy.

Flanigan first worked at Little Lake as an apprentice in 2007. According to Cannon, “Katie understands this theater from the inside out. She started here, and since then has built an impressive career across production, operations, and higher education. Bringing her back at this moment of growth feels incredibly meaningful.”

At Little Lake, Flanigan will oversee production operations, technical planning, and design coordination, supporting an expanding slate of productions, educational programming, and special events.
