Irish documentary ‘All Our Yesterdays’ to be shown at Harris Theater
The award-winning Irish documentary “All Our Yesterdays” will launch its 2026 U.S. tour in Pittsburgh with two special screenings, on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Harris Theater in Pittsburgh.
Director Breege Rowley will be travelling from Ireland to attend the Pittsburgh screenings.
The feature documentary, 11 years in the making, explores memory, emigration, family and the enduring connection between Ireland and its diaspora through an extraordinary collection of interviews, photographs, home movies and family archives gathered in County Mayo and from families overseas.
“Beginning our American tour in Pittsburgh feels very special,” said Rowley. “‘All Our Yesterdays’ began with one community in County Mayo, but emigration carried its families and their stories across the world.”
She continued, “What has stayed with me throughout this journey is how strongly that connection to home survives. I have met people whose parents or grandparents left Ireland decades ago, yet those stories, memories and sense of belonging are still very much alive.
“Bringing the film to Irish-American audiences is, in many ways, bringing those stories back to the communities that inherited them. I’m really looking forward to being in Pittsburgh, meeting the audience and sharing the film with them.”
