Soup sale

California Area Historical Society is accepting preorders of takeout containers of homemade soup until Jan. 16.

Quart containers $10 each, and soups include chili, chicken noodle, potato, wedding or vegetable.

Orders for fresh soup can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Gallagher House, Fifth and Wood streets; frozen can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 23.

Proceeds will benefit the society’s operating funds. To place an order, call the society at 724-938-3250 or Mary Beth Graf at 724-938-2975.
