National Poetry Month

1 min read

Editor’s note: In honor of National Poetry Month, students in Lisa O’Brien’s second-grade class at Trinity East Elementary School wrote poems and drew pictures to accompany them. The theme was “Friends,” which was chosen by the students since they are studying the story “Gloria, Who Might Be My Best Friend” by Ann Cameron. The project was coordinated by Kim Lapp, long-term substitute teacher. A sample of their work will appear on the Lifestyles page throughout the week. Kids’ Corner will become a Sunday feature in the Living section. Email items for consideration to dbachman@observer-reporter.com.
