Monongahela Valley Hospital is sponsoring several programs this month. Events will be held in the hospital’s Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center unless otherwise noted.

• Arthritis Support Group meets from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 16. For more information, call 724-258-1321.

• Ostomy Support Group meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17. For more information, call 724-258-1773.

• Innovations in Managing Thyroid Cancer will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 and Jan. 28. Dr. Edward Stafford will present a free program to discuss common causes and treatments of thyroid cancer. To register, call 724-258-1333.

• Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 22-24. Registration is required at least one week prior to the start of classes. For more information or to register, call 724-258-1483

• Breastfeeding Class will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at Mon-Vale HealthPLEX. This free class is designed for mothers who plan to breastfeed to help them feel more comfortable and confident while in the hospital after delivery and when returning home.
