Celebrity Q&A
Q. “Boardwalk Empire” seemed to have a short 2012 season. The last new show aired in early December. Will there be additional new episodes early in 2013, or will we have to wait until the fall season? – Chuck Morris, Bend, Ore.
A. Actually, Season 3 of the HBO drama was exactly as long as Seasons 1 and 2 had been … 12 episodes each. Though a premiere date hadn’t been confirmed at this writing, we’d expect Season 4 to have a fall start, holding to the show’s tradition; series creator, executive producer and frequent writer Terence Winter has said the timeline of the next stories will begin a year after the Season 3 finale.
Q. Is the actor who plays Mouch on NBC’s “Chicago Fire” related to the actor who plays the C.O.B. on ABC’s “Last Resort”? – Anne Wineland, Germantown, Wis.
A. No, though we can understand where you see a resemblance. Christian Stolte is the “Chicago Fire” actor, and Robert Patrick – also known for “The X-Files” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” among many other projects – portrayed the Chief of the Boat on “Last Resort,” which has just ended its run.
Q. I love watching Robert Wagner as DiNozzo’s father on “NCIS.” Was “It Takes a Thief” his first series? – Arthur Marks, Columbus, Ohio
A. It was, and its success set Wagner up to have several other television vehicles while he also maintained a feature film career. His subsequent shows included “Colditz” (principally shown in Europe, and marking his first teaming with David McCallum, alias Ducky of “NCIS”), “Switch,” “Hart to Hart” and “Lime Street.”
Later, the Hollywood veteran also would have multiple-episode guest roles on such series as “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill,” “Hope & Faith,” “Boston Legal” and “Two and a Half Men.”
