The National Pike chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution held its annual student awards program May 13 at First Baptist Church in Washington.

Sixth-grade winners from John F. Kennedy Catholic School in the Art Expression division were Talia Welsh (poster), first place – local level and first place – Pennsylvania; and Krista Lebar (stamp), first place – local level, first place – Pennsylvania, first place – Eastern division and first place – National. Fellow JFK sixth-grader Jonathan Ruffing (poem) won in the Creative Expression division. He earned first place in the local level and second place in Pennsylvania.

Trinity Middle School eighth-graders Ashley Brantley, Alec Belcastro, Michelle Biksey and Caitlin Guthrie received awards.

Trinity Middle School seventh-graders Chelsea Geer, Jaime Handra, Kyle Steele and Zachary Ecker received awards.

Natalie Hamilton of McGuffey High School and Sabrina Tecklenburg of Trinity High School received awards.
