‘Prelude to Rebellion’ at Washington Park

1 min read

The Washington County Historical Society will hold its annual “Prelude to a Rebellion – an 18th-Century Rifle Frolic” from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Washington County Frontier History Center in Washington Park.

WCHS will celebrate the history and heritage of the Pennsylvania Frontier with historical re-enactments, period demonstrations, blacksmithing, woodworking, spinning and weaving.

In addition, the Bloody Dirk Tavern will be open for distilling demonstrations, and there will be weapons displays and smokehouse construction.

The event is free, and is one of the many events scheduled to help kick off the annual Whiskey Rebellion Festival in July in downtown Washington.
