Bring a doll and friends to a tea party at the library, then the dolls can sleep over and have their own party. Pictures will be taken throughout the night and posted on Facebook. Fee is $5, plus get an extra ticket for the American Doll of the Year raffle.

Programs for the College Bound: Community College will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the public meeting room. The assistant dean at Community College of Allegheny County, Washington County Center, will discuss applying for community college, classes and programs available regarding student life. Programs for the College Bound: AP Test Prep will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 20 in the public meeting room. Huntington Learning Center will focus on Advanced Placement Testing required to earn college credit for high school AP classes. Saturday afternoon movie will begin at 1 o’clock in the public meeting room. The library will kick off Tech Week early with a science-fiction movie determined by popular vote. Possibilities include “Jurassic Park,” “Back to the Future,” “Star Trek (2009),” “Tron Legacy” or “Wall-E.” Vote online at www.citlib.org or on the library’s Facebook page.

Teen Tech Week will be celebrated March 11-16 with a variety of events and challenges. Registration is recommended for all events by calling the library or emailing TeenCitizens@gmail.com. Events include:

• Meme Caption Contest, March 11-15 – Visit the Teen Page at www.citlib.org or the library’s Facebook page for more information and how to enter. Open to students in middle and high school.

• Angry Birds Live, 6:30 p.m. March 12 – Teens are invited to knock down as many pigs and boxes as they can. Open to students in middle and high school.

• Dissect a Computer, 6:30 p.m. March 13 – Students in middle and high school are invited to take apart old machines and learn about all the bits and pieces that make computers work. Participants will even attempt to restore one, Frankenstein style.

• MarbleWorks Challenge, 6:30 p.m. March 14 – Students in middle and high school will create a MarbleWorks contraption using an odd assortment of materials, including duct tape, Q-tips and toilet paper tubes. Several winners will be selected in a variety of categories.

• Wii Mariokart Tournament, 1 to 4 p.m. March 16 – Sixth- through 12th-graders are eligible to compete, with up to four players at a time competing for the cup. Complete individually or as part of a team. Free play will be available after the tournament.

Stitching Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 11. Learn how to knit or crochet. Yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks will be provided, or bring your own supplies or project. Instructors will be available to answer questions and teach simple designs.

CitiBooks, a used books bookstore operated by Friends of the Library, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Beginning March 21, Citibooks will expand its hours to 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays. CitiBooks is staffed by volunteers, and all proceeds benefit the library.
